CUNY Hackathon is back and it's bigger and better. Hack for 3 days...OVERNIGHT @Baruch College Library! Students from all 24 CUNY campuses will unite, work on a project together, design, build something cool and learn from industry experts. Bragging rights. Free food. Prizes. Swag. Lots of surprises.

FAQs
HOW MANY PEOPLE IS MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM PER TEAM?
Ideally, there should be 3-5 people per team.
CAN I OR MY TEAM MEMBERS MISS SOME SESSIONS AND STILL COMPETE?
No, attendance on all three days of sessions is required. Workshops are optional, however.
WILL THERE BE FOOD?
Of course.
WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?
1. All members of the team must be current CUNY students (CUNY student IDs are required at check-in).
2. All team members have to attend all 3 days of the Hackathon.Â
WHAT IF I CAN NOT CODE?
That's okay! If you are a beginner coder, come to workshops and talk with mentors who can help guide you. If you're not a coder, other skill sets (design, marketing) are still welcome and useful for teams.
WILL THERE BE MENTORS?
Yes, you will have a chance to get advice from professionals from IBM, Google, and other tech companies in NYC.
WILL THERE BE WORKSHOPS?
Yes. The best tech minds from IBM, Google, and other NYC tech companies will run workshops to teach cutting-edge tools, languages and APIs.
WILL THERE BE PRIZES?

DO I NEED TO HAVE AN IDEA?
No, you can join a team and decide on an idea to work on together.
WHERE ARE WE GOING TO SLEEP?
We have a designated quiet area, for you to put your head down and nap.
WILL ONLY TOP 15 PRESENT AGAIN?
This year EVERY team that completes all submission requirements will be allowed to present.
ARE HACKERS ALLOWED TO LEAVE?
Yes, while attendance is required all three days, hackers are allowed to leave the facilities to go home. DO NOT remove your wristband.
CAN WE BRING PILLOWS AND SLEEPING BAGS?
1. BYOP - Bring your own pillow, you're allowed to use your pillow in the library and the napping area.
2. No sleeping bags allowed.
IS THIS HACKATHON OVERNIGHT?
YES!
